I could read a room, negotiate a deal, and deliver results under pressure.
But beneath the surface, I was running on adrenaline, perfectionism, and an invisible thread about to snap. The long hours, the quiet self-doubt, the feeling that no matter what I achieved, something deeper and older was pulling the strings.
I knew how to think my way through any problem.
I didn’t know how to stop the storm underneath.
In one of my lowest moments, the phone rang.
